Christmas 2018

Christmas, you were so good to us this year. Jesus, you felt so near, so close and gave me such hope in this broken world. It didn't seem like another busy season that just flew by. This year I felt like I could savour my early mornings with Jesus, reflecting on what this season is all about. So thankful to remember Christmas 2018 like this.

Practically, we had an amazing Christmas Eve service with our people at church. Christmas morning was spent with my family of four - opening presents and setting unrealistic expectations with a toddler and baby that never came about -next year? We packed the car with both kiddos crying and Mark and I declared over and over again "not today Satan! You are not stealing our JOY on Christmas." Mark and I banded together and made it to Elmira for supper time on Christmas Day. It was spent with my immediate family over turkey dinner. The rest of the week we saw most of our family and friends. It was such a busy week, but so refreshing to see everyone and have some great real life conversations. I am so thankful for all the people I know that pour into me. We rang in the New Year celebrating Dustin and Sharese wedding at the Walper. It was such a God-honouring wedding - and the best speeches I have heard! After little sleep we drove back home to Gravenhurst, unpacked the car, did five loads of laundry, bathed the babies, took down the Christmas tree, rearranged the living room and put our house back in order. Excited for all 2019 will bring but wow, so thankful for our week in Elmira. Here are the highlight pics:)
